Parks are for the morning.

Did I mention that it's HOT in Texas? That is why parks are for the mornings.. Anything after...say...10:15am..nope, don't want to be at the park. We went to the library yesterday afternoon and the temperature reading in the car was 115..well, that was with the car sitting there with the sun beating down, after we started moving, it was 103.
Anyway, we took the girls to the park this morning.. Here is Emily and Allie running down the path...

I really seldom complain about the heat, it really doesn't bother me too much. I just want to be at home in the pool. Or even soaking my feet in the kiddie pool, while sitting in the shade. It really does take the edge off of the heat.
And Popsicles. They work too.

I love the heat, and I could probably get used to those temps, but can you imagine it being that hot in CT? People are already crazy here; the heat would make them even more so I think. LOL

I don't care for the heat at all but that park looks pretty cool!

That really is a cute park. I see why they have the little roofs all over it then if the heat is that high.

I'm barely moving by 10am. Good for you on getting to the park so early!

Oh my gosh, 103. Wow, that's hot. I wish it was warm here in Michigan. The weather guys said last night that it's been the 2nd coldest July on record. It's freezing here. I could use some heat. LOL! Kristen, I want to send you a heart felt thanks for all your prayers, thoughts and sweet comments regarding my little one and her eye surgery. You are one of the sweetest bloggers I've met online so far. Your support and friendship mean the world to me. Thanks so much!!

Hugs
Michelle

Oh I believe the play ground is hot. We lived in AZ for 8 years and in the summer I couldn't believe how many people were out really early in the morning. But it was cooler and I'm sure the play ground was not so hot too.

Wow. That's. Really. Hot! I'm with you. If I have to be outside all summer, the pool is where I want to be. Thanks for the compliments about my cards:)

I live in Texas, too and yes it's hot as hell and we're in a heat wave right now. Unfortunately my job keeps me outdoors throughout the day but I end up with a great tan!

We never ever go to the park during the summer! Way too hot here in Texas. We go to the splash pad or the soft play area in the mall.

I could probably get used to the heat too - but pool and popsicles sound like great ideas!

Popsicles, that's an idea! I understand what you're saying. Although we haven't hit the 100's yet I've been stuck outside with puppies in the backyard. The park looks like fun!

What fun! I bet it does get hot on the equipment in the afternoon...I know it does here, and we are not nearly as hot as you are.

And there is nothing wrong with spending the day in the pool...we do that a LOT around here :)

I'm so jealous! This weekend heavy rains are expected here, as well as a drop in temperature. Urrgh. It's so unfair! LOL
The park you guys went to looks very pretty. I hope you had lots of fun!

Yeah, I don't miss the heat. lol I noticed it's been around 100 for weeks now and I think that's one reason I am dragging my feet as long as possible on the move back there! lol (though it's supposed to be 100 here by the weekend, so it's not any better)

Way too hot for me! I always complain about the heat and it's nowhere near that but that park does look pretty cool. I might try for that one.
