Posing.

So, we flew to Boston Thanksgiving week. We spent the holiday in New Hampshire with my whole family. It was a nice visit. The first time I have flown in 4 years and the first that Emily and Allie can remember. They were much smaller when we flew last, obviously.

If our flight wasn't so early in the morning, I would have done well with a drink (or two) to take my edge off. I didn't show my nervousness, for the most part, as I didn't want the girls to feel my tension.

Luckily, they were oblivious to my fears - so much so that Emily, as the plane was taking off - yelled, quite loudly and excitedly - "Mommy! Look! We ARE FLYING! Look HOW HIGH we ARE!! MOMMY! We are sooOOooOOOoooo HIGH OFF THE GROUND!! YAY!!! YAAAAY!!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!" Everyone around us chuckled as I dug my nails into the seat, looking at Em with a slightly forced smile, saying, "yay!"
ha! Good Times!

We spent an afternoon walking around Boston, ate some yummy food, picked up a souvenir or two.

And trust me when I say that every picture we took of them - they posed like that.

Memories!

Glad the plane ride went good with them! It's funny how kids are. I went on my first in six years this summer with my toddler and was TERRIFIED! My then-two year old was braver than me haha

Cute poses! How funny that they came up with those and did them every time! Glad the plane ride went well too! Good job hiding your fears from your daughters!

Kristin, your girls are adorable posing like that :)
It seems the older I get the more I hate flying. I know exactly how you felt! Glad you had a wonderful time with your family though :)
((hugs)) to all!

Hee hee! They have some good poses there!

I have a fear of flying as well. I can't get through it without a xanax and an adult beverage :). Glad everyone made it safe and sound.

Can you believe I just went over to my long neglected blog this evening...and after posting earlier today..this evening I had a feeling to look back over the comments and I saw the comment you left on Oct. 29, the night of Sandy. Oh, my Dear...I have tears in my eyes. Life pulls us in so many directions...but gee, we have been connected for quite some time now...and it just hit me! I can't tell you how much it meant to me to read your kind, loving, words of care. That storm was horrifying for us...I can't put it into words. But we were okay..just lost power for a while. Now, looks like we are all mourning and facing more sorrow. The horror. No words can articulate. I just wanted to come over and say hello. Let you know I appreciate you and your friendship. I hope you are settling and enjoying the season with your family. Sending Love and a hug to you, Cyndy
