Emily and Santa
We went to the San Antonio Riverwalk this weekend.. and we were delighted to see Santa. Mind you, my kids have always refused to see Santa. Allison actually encourages me to go, to tell him what she wants. ha. not happening. But, when we saw him this time.. Emily was thrilled! She said, "Mommy! I want to see Santa!" and boy.. did she. She sat right on his lap and held a few minute conversation.. told him everything she wanted.. "A pillow pet, a dress, and tapping shoes." (She calls play dress-up shoes "tapping shoes") She also told him that she has been a good goyle (the way she says "girl")
My heart just melted. And I *might* have teared up a little.
God, Thank you for my children.

She looks so super happy! I love that. Ellie was like that with Santa last year too. We couldn't shut her up!
Oh my I miss those days so much when they were little and had a Christmas list to tell Santa. So cute! I also have to say that is a very good Santa and Mrs. Clause they had there. It think it looks like the real ones.
I do hope Santa makes her sweet little wishes come true!
She's so precious! What fun Christmas time is!
*good goyle* - that's just adorable.
She looks so happy!
I bet all her wishes will come true on Christmas Day ;-)
How sweet! "tapping shoes', ah swoon. So cute.
awww! Absolutely adorable!
How cute! Mine aren't quite old enough to be intrigued by Santa, but I'm with you - if they want to ask for something, they'll have to do it on their own! How fun that she's so excited. I think I might tear up too when my time comes.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment over at my place. Nice to have "met" another mommy in the blogosphere!
Emily looks so cute! How funny that she went from not wanting to talk to Santa, to having conversations! I think when Grace gets to that point, I'll probably tear up too. ;)
